In the summer of 1999, a group of Asian Americans in the Boston, MA area wanted a vehicle to network Asian American activists in different geographies, across generations, and with differing viewpoints in order to build Asian American activism. We support more collective and cooperative processes and structures as a framework for society. 3. We support the working people, the majority of society, especially its most exploited and disadvantaged sectors. 4. We support Asian Americans and other people of color in their struggles against inequality and discrimination. 5. We support the rights of women and those of other oppressed groups. 6.
