Amerikan Ako

By Barry Buenaventura

Pilipino, yeah that's me
Murdered at the age of ten
Genocide infanticide matricide
Only way out suicide homicide
Cant break free can I get off this crazy ride

Pilipino yeah that's me
Sent to hell at half past twelve
Sent to jail without bail
My soul is now up for sale
Half price no rice head full of lice
Took the chance and rolled the dice
Now I'm diced served in apple pies
White lies crimson skies with gypsy eyes
Hypnotize mezmerize paralyze
All I can do is cry.

Pilipino yeah that's me
Educated but not free
Took me in sent me home
Back to the jungles where I'll roam
Socialism communism
Democratic nepotism
Beaurocrat democrat now I'm fit
Dimwit hypocrite eyes on the prize
Men and women soddomized Christianized pulverized
Glamorized demoralized soul to be
I'm in my monkey suit for my Uncle to see

Pilipino, yeah that's me
Standing tall at 5'3"
Proud and brown low to the ground
Hellbound hell's hound screams without sound
Grab a rake give and take
Food for an albino snake
Where's my share of milk and honey
Money funny Money?
Funny money all I got
Let my body rot in this crazy melting pot.

Pilipino, Yeah that's me
Dead and buried at twenty-three
Sent to earth at her womb
Warm and comforting my only tomb
Uncle lied, justice denied
Sent to heaven cruxified
Diefied worship me I'm your lord
Brandishing the flaming sword
Off you go to the fiery lake
Eternal torture when you wake
Barbed wire crown my sorrows drown
In a tear with my fear trying to get my life in gear.

Pilipino yeah that's me
Still alive at 103
Fought two wars, bullets bit
I got hit all I got was a load of shit
Citizenship, ownership, roll call got skipped
Screwed, I brood, become loud and lewd
Sued but lost an expensive cost
Dying crying deeply sighing gone
Gun, setting sun, end of day
Don't worry everythings OK
All this pain much to bare
Time to go cuz you don't care

Pilipino yeah that's me
American since 1903
Catholicized Christianized
Crushed pride
Waning moon full scarlet moon
Half the population gone too soon

Pilipino Yeah that's me
American for all eternity
An invisible phantom you cant see
All but a fading memory
