Send letters to your Congressmen

Good afternoon, my name is ____________________________, and I am calling to urge my Congress person ______________________ to sign on and lobby for [if House Rep: HR 302 or if Senate: S 146], the Filipino Veterans Equity Act of 2005. This bill, if passed, would give Filipino Veterans the equal status they deserve because they defended this country over 60 years ago and still have not been equally recognized. I am a concerned constituent of (city)__________ and I am requesting the assistance of the Congressman/woman in granting these veterans what they rightfully deserve- equal status as American Veterans through the passage of [If house: HR 302 and if Senate S 146] which will amend Title 38 of the 1946 Rescission Act deeming the WWII Filipino Veterans military service during WWII as active rather than inactive.
