Indian American Nearly Beat to Death in Delaware9/7/07 Four white thugs nearly beat a young 21-year-old Indian American to death. On August 26th in New Castle, Delaware, while he was pumping gas at a 7-Eleven, the victim was attacked and pursued. While running away, he was beaten three times with brass knuckles and a baseball bat. He suffered serious multiple injuries, including a fractured skull and broken nose, a cut under his eye, and lost teeth. The victim, who was also robbed of $5. Police have identified two brothers, 27-year-old Lewis Johns and his 17-year-old brother Cody as two of the assailants. The older Johns was picked up in Maryland over the weekend on unrelated charges and is awaiting extradition back to Delaware. Cody Johns and a third person, known only as "Ronny'' are still at large.
