Update: CBS has cancelled the Dog House Show as of May 12th. Good riddance.

Asian American groups and supporters have continued a community protests is call for the dismissal of racist, anti-Asian CBS Radio personalities Jeff Vandergrift (a.k.a. "JV") and Dan Lay (a.k.a. "Elvis"). The duo made a six-minute prank phone call originally aired on April 5 and re-aired on April 19, 2007 to a Chinese restaurant, where they verbally abused restaurant workers, telling them "I would like some Asian food, son of a bitch."   They also made other racist, vulgar and sexist comments that range from mock Asian accents ("flied lice") to sexual harassment (telling a female employee they want to see her "hot Asian spicy ass"). This is only the latest of Vandergrift and Lay's history of racist and degrading remarks towards Asians including the mocking of Korean accents.

Jeff Vandergrift and Dan Lay have been suspended without pay and apologized, but the station has also used the sketch as a promotional segment. Community groups organized a demonstration on April 27 to publicly condemn the and to demand their immediate firing.

Community pressure has forced advertisers such as Anheuser Busch, Mercedes-Benz, and the New York Police Department. They are also continuing pressure on other advertisers such as GEICO and Nissan.

There has a been an on-line petition. A number of community groups also met with CBS radio.

On the other hand, white groups have commented that JV and Elvis are victims of a "reign of terror."
